Minoan Golden Seal-RingThese rings are exquisite pieces of Minoan jewelry, and they offer useful insights into parts of the Minoan society. Rings made as seals were used to impress soft clay or wax with a recognizable design, molded to stand out from the surface. Today, there are more than 200 rings and impressions that have survived, and some have been handed down and used over generations.

The phaistos discThe Phaistos Disc, from a Minoan palace, remains one of the most famous mysteries of archeology. It is a circular clay disc that is covered in symbols. The writing on it defies all attempts at being decoded. Although it coexisted with Linear A scripts, other forms of this script are not known.
